I think it looks best on silver cars. For the long haul I think the reds will hold up better - it's more of an aftermarket look and Porsche is a little late to that party. Aston Martin did a nice job of the clears but the peak of that trend was a few years ago but I'm glad Porsche offers it - more choice is a good thing.
Would think most are accustomed to red tail lights and rear reflectors, amber turn signals. white headlights, back ups, fogs, and driving lights. That said, would the clears help differentiate going from clear to bright red when applying the brakes (especially during daylight hours) and make them safer ? IMHO, the clear tail lights look great on white, silver and gray cars but also need clear lenses, painted or vinyl wrapped rear reflectors to go with. IIRC, STG991 (bottom pic) had his tail lights smoked a bit and rear reflectors painted same as body color and looks great.02 T
