I'll keep that one in mind as basis for justification of expensive options towards the grand chancellor exchequer aka wife. "but it will cost so much more next year, just imagine how much this will boost resale value!"

- USB jack in the central storage compartment for iPod
- MultiFunction wheel w/ sport wheel's paddles
- Head up display (BMW did a great job on theirs)
- Hybrid tech w/ electric motor(s) for more punch on rolling starts (I'll even sacrifice a suitcase worth of frunk space)
- Something, anything to fill out the central console button blanks

Or at least honor all the PTS builds they handed out in June.
Macan steering wheel.
Love the camera F/R idea, especially the activate on motion part. Our security cameras at home do that, inside and outside.
If they aren't going to make ordering deviated options simpler, at least load them all into the Configurator (and show up in 3D), so you have an idea of what you want/will get BEFORE going into the dealer to order.

I like the OP's dashcam idea, although I'm a little concerned about LEO or insurance trying to confiscate the data in a single car accident on an on-ramp...
FWIW, I had HUD on my Corvette and found it very distracting. Useful for being on the track, I suppose, to monitor oil temps and maybe RPMs, but on the road, I found that I fixated on it too often. And I don't track anymore.

This option would be offered only for government vehicle purchases, so you'd have to go for the aftermarket version from suncoast...
