The VIN was assigned on Thursday 11/20, which if I understand the process means that the car was assembled that day. Although I've owned several Porsches, this is the first that I've ever ordered. It's going to be agony while the ship makes all sorts of stops en route to San Diego. My ETA is late January.

It sounds like you'll get your car before mine, since my has to be shipped all the way out to the left coast. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the two cars ended up on the same ship. But it will be the first GTS at my dealership and I'm sure it'll be one of the first in SoCal.

My birthday's at the end of January, and I'm just hoping to have it by then. That would make for a very happy birthday!

Expect delivery is still January 9.
