Default Parking your 911 at a Vegas strip casino?

We're heading to Vegas in a few weeks and planning on driving the Porsche, but I'm a bit uneasy about the issue of parking. On the one hand, leaving it in the public parking lot of a strip casino seems like a bad idea, but letting some random valet yahoo drive it could be worse. I am sure they see some high end cars come in on occasion so maybe I shouldn't be apprehensive.

I browsed through some of the other threads related to the issue of valeting your 911 and I saw some comments about tipping them and requesting them to let you park it yourself in their valet lot. I'm wondering if anyone has done this at any of the strip casinos in Vegas, or if anyone has any thoughts in general on parking in Vegas.

You've seen the thread about the guy who had his GT3 stolen from a Vegas lot, and was found burnt out right?

I would be less concerned about the 5 minutes the valet was driving the car, and more about the security of the lot itself and any potential theft or vandalism...

Wonder if there is a fuse you can easily pull to de-activate Launch Control before turning it over to a parking valet?!!

I'm the guy who had his tt vandalized in the Belligio parking lot. The car is now for sale at Sloans. I didn't use the valet because I knew the guy I gave my keys to would not be the same guy to retrieve the car for me. I had only owned the car for four days at the time. I felt great regret for selling it even before the recent price run up. I was hoping to buy a 356 Speedster, but their prices accelerated away from me. The car is way better than Sloan is representing it, IMO. Use the valet if it goes to a secure lot. Casinos create losers. Losers are angry. Angry losers are likely to act out. My car was the victim of an angry loser with a framing hammer.

Tip the valet $50 and park it yourself. Of course this only works in the high end casinos. Wynn, Aria, etc.. Forget it if you're staying in Bellagio, Paris, etc..

Stayed at Paris, tipped valet $20, watched him park it in front. Lotsa people will look & some take pics, but no issues with touching. Valet also gave me a choice of having 2 spaces in pkg lot. I preferred the front & watched him park it.

At the end of the day, it's Vegas. Many many high end cars and big whales. The city of all excess.

A nice car is as common as losers at the poker table!

Take care $$ of the person in the lot or valet, and they'll take care of your car. If your have a 100K plus car, don't park it like it's a beater.

Shoot the guy a $50, and it will get taken care of. This is the city that money can buy anything you want. They surely can figure out keeping an eye on a Porsche 911.

Don't be scared from the couple of bad stories floating around.

In the picture above, it looks like a sweet parking spot.

I just read your story last night. Damn that sucks. This is kinda why I am leery of parking a $100k car in public casino lot for a days-long period.

This is what I think I am gonna shoot for. Just wondering if anyone had had success in this approach.

Well I consider Bellagio a high end casino... but we are staying in 'etc'. (Planet Hollywood to be exact). First time at PH so completely unfamiliar with the parking/valet situation.

Nah, the point is to take the 911 out for a long desert drive. Besides, the 'beater' is the wife's 2015 Lexus. Don't tell her I called it that...

I would accept having my car 'on display' like that, assuming they keep people from groping it.
