true. The only issue I see is they would perturb a lot of targa S orders because those people would wonder why it was not just announced when the gts originally came out
and would see Porsche as 'playing unnecessary games' - the clientele of PAG is sophisticated enough to know whether they want a GTS or S targa.

[QUOTE="Sharm;11796642"] true. I think it would end up pissing off a lot of people.
Sorry, didn't mean to quote myself there

A Cayenne GTS as THE big unveil at the LA Auto Show, what crap. Further is Porsche making Carmine Red the official GTS color. Last model year it was under metallic colors free of charge, now it's a $3,140 option under special colors along with Lime Gold, again what crap.

Holy crap dude, when they released the new Cayenne the base model was still under $50K! No options of course. Now it's around $58K!

Where is the value being added for this increase in cost?

Is this right? How many cars is Porsche really going to debut? I'll be at the Wednesday event. But don't they have another event Friday?

4 GTS variants, Cayenne GTS, Panamera Exclusive ... they have the PCA breakfast event Friday AM if that is what you are referring to?

Aww, four GTS models in Porsche's mind/marketing = one new model in mine. Oh well, should still be fun to see.

who knows they may have a surprise ... but its a short list:

- Targa 4 GTS
- Cayman GT4
- GT3 RS
- facelift 991

I doubt they would dilute the launch of the GTS'es (or vica versa) with any of the bottom 3 ...

Looking forward to their YouTube trailers.

I have to admit, Porsche does make some of the most compelling car trailers.

Porsche's VIP event is tonight at 8:00 pm Pacific time. (I think VIP means "repeat customer.") By now they've done their press drives in the new 991 GTS models, they'll have completed all the press announcements, and there won't be any surprises left for tonight. They're having a "grand unveiling" of a new car at 9:00 tonight, but all that means is that car will have a cover on it for the first hour. I bet it'll be the Panamera Exclusive that's under wraps until then.

I have a GTS on order for January delivery, so this will be my first chance to see my next car in the flesh.
