Okay this is the latest from my dealer.

Just a little update : Frank got the confirmation from Porsche Canada that all GTS will not be released from port until late December. Point of sale date will be in January as expected.
You will be able to pick it up probably early January.
It’s still two weeks earlier than expected.

I’ll keep you apprised of any changes.

Thanks!
Too bad

Well, your dealer won't be happy missing a 2014 sale. Too bad for everyone.

I just talked to my dealer again and he is still positive that I will see my car before January 1st. Could be blowing smoke up my *** but I guess we will see. He did say its still in Halifax though.

I hope your right. I'm pulling for you.

For me it looks like I will pick mine up in early Jan. I will be out of town for the next few weeks, anyway.

Hope it happens...love to crash your delivery! But, with the holiday schedule looming, I would be amazed it it made it before the New Year. Fingers crossed for you.

My car is due into port on the 26th and the port is about an hour away from my dealer. But he's now saying that he thinks that Porsche is holding the cars for 2015 delivery. He says they've done it before. Doesn't make the dealers or customers too happy.

mrsmitty, actual transit time from Halifax to Edmonton should only be about 4 days (does Porsche truck or rail?), so there's still time. But considering that it's been sitting at the port for almost a week, I'd guess that something is up. Maybe we'll both wake up to a New Year's day surprise!

Maybe, wouldn't be the end of the world if it doesn't show up till early January anyways. Gives me one more pay day to have money for any extras.

Do it! - we'll go to the ring at the end of May.

Happy Holidays!

I still haven't told the wife that:

1) we are getting a GTS Cabriolet and *not* a Macan Turbo as she believes

and ...

2) that our Champagne/Bordeaux/Provence road trip includes a stop in the Effiel Mountains ...

You'd better get onto the car configurator now ... 7MT, SPASM, Cup Aero ...

Talked to my dealer today and was told my car has finally left Halifax. Though he didn't say which day it left
