I called my US dealer today after seeing this. He knows of no such hold here in the States, but at the same time, he realized that my car "missed the boat" and was not on its scheduled ship. It's still at port in Germany with a revised eta at the dealer of Dec 26th. So all in all, I'm afraid to say he may not be a great source of good info for you.

I admit to being less anxious than I normally would be in this situation. I'm hoping to take the car out for a day after it arrives if the roads remain salt and snow free. Then it goes right into storage. I keep looking at the long range forecasts, but it's only a matter of time.

5 months is a long time, and then there's that horrible wait for re-delivery. But you've got a bit of a fun drive to tide you over, and 12 months of great driving weather after that!

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Thanks for checking. I guess it's a Canada thing.

I really hope they get this financing thing figured out. I really wanted my car before Christmas. What really ticks me off is I am paying cash for my car and I have to wait cause of financing bs.

Did you try calling your dealer and asking him for an update?

I actually talked to them today. Never mentioned anything about hold up at Halifax. Said it is still scheduled for Jan 9th delivery but likely have it before Jan 1st. That's all they said and I scheduled coating and 3m film for the car as well as having my winter tires and rims installed. They wanted to discuss financing as well but I told them I am paying cash.

I did not notice a price increase on my C2GTS Cab config. Base and option pricing is the same. Which model did you see an increase for? How much?

I *thought* the base on the GTS Cabriolet went up a few 100's ... could be wrong

I'm also planning on buying mine cash, but I was led to understand that all the GTS 's are on hold until jan1 due to financing.

I dunno time will tell. I hope your dealer is right.
