SPASM + SportDesign Front Fascia
For those of you who have both SPASM and the SportDesign front fascia (this includes everyone with either the full SD Package or the Aerokit Cup), how much do you find yourself scraping your front lip?

None at all. Just the bottom portion sometimes (which is not visible).
Just have to drive carefully, and revisit what you learned in geometry class as you approach driveways, speed bumps (or dips), etc.
But all of this will certainly depend on where you live.

No problems at all. I would scrape my lowered Cayman S all the time, but this C4S hasn't scraped once. The SPASM/Sport design is not as low as the GT3.

Only scraped the underside once on a speed bump which didn't look any bigger than others but must have been. You can only see the scrapes if you get down and look under the lip. Otherwise no problems.

its a shame that Porsche did not adopt the same strategy as on the GT3s where that lower section is a consumable...

Thank you, Gentlemen.
Larry, I agree with you with respect to convenience, but I think the painted SD front fascia is far better looking than the black plastic lip that sticks out from the bottom of the GT3 nose.
Again, thanks to all.

I only scrape the bottom side as well and only occasionally.
It's a pretty inexpensive piece to replace if you really knock it a good one.

I guess I'm the careless one in the group. Mine scrapes all the time. My driveway, the grocery store, speed bumps, drainage dips, you name it. It's a major reason why I haven't gotten a GT3, since it's lower still. It's dinged and scraped and probably 1/2" shorter than it was new. I will definitely have to replace the front lip before I return my lease. I just don't have the patience to stop and crawl over obstacles. If it scrapes, it scrapes. Life goes on.

My car was just delivered Saturday. '14 with 2k miles and spasm. Car is perfect except for scraping on the lip. These scrapes are coming up around the lower edge and bottom. Apparently you can't see it easily unless the car is on a trailer like this, or if you get your head down there at ground level. Dealer didn't notice it when he did his inspection, but is going to hook me up with a touch up person locally. My friend did the car inspection when it arrived. None-the-less I will be ordering the lip and having it sprayed and Xpel'd for install later on.
Since I am in Korea and haven't seen how this lip is attached...does anyone know if you need a body shop to do it?
