I've been out with a friend recently. On the way back (20 minutes on country roads and autobahn), he was driving behind me. As soon as he arrived home, he called me to say: "Your car sounds fckn awesome!" Call me immature, but that cheered me up... ;-)
And I really thought I don't care what people think about my car.

Actually the best compliment at all is when an attractive, middle aged woman who has money and appreciates the finer things tells you "that's a beautiful car."
That's the best.
That's the best.

When 3 year old boy came up as I was leaving the country club and asked to see it. Not him mom but he did it himself. I gave him a ride and let his mother take pictures. He was in love. I loved it too.

My 6 year old daughters jaw dropped when she saw it for the first time... She kissed the frunk badge and said p-o-r-s-c-h-e! W-o-w!... Biggest statement I needed...

Complimenting comments come all the time, of course. But one of the most flattering acts my car has received is this: a random girl I met at Starbucks wanted to SIT in the FRUNK and be photographed.

I have two...when I was stopped at a stop light, a little boy (probably about 7 or 8) crossing the street gave me two enthusiastic thumbs up. Made me smile! The second was when I was also at a traffic light in Manhattan, a bike messenger rides by, doesn't slow down, but yells beautiful car.

Last week two motorcycle cops were just ahead of me on a 45 MPH road and switched lanes and slowed down so that I passed them. For a few seconds, I thought they were going to get me for no front plates. They went behind me for a couple blocks, then switched lanes again and pulled even with the driver door and motioned me to lower the window. The older one said "most beautiful Porsche I have seen" and they gave me a thumbs up and then sped away.

Oh, wait! There was this one nice gentleman who decided while his wife was shopping he'd rather spend his time in the parking lot just gazing at my car from all different directions. When I came out and he realized it was okay he asked if he could touch it. I don't know if that one flattered me the most. I only know I almost cried.

A couple months ago, I had just arrived into Rochester, MN by the Mayo Clinic. There's a pedestrian overpass right by the Marriott and I let the PSE breath a little with a low speed 2 to 1 downshift. Sound was glorious.
Homeless guy walks over at the red light and says, "That's a bad *** mother ****ing car!!". We both laughed. For a second there, I thought it may have been Samuel L Jackson.
