I tend to leave it off until the oil gets warmed up, so that the rpm's stay lower.. maybe I'm overcautious? I wouldn't run it right away anyways on my morning commute since that's 6am thru a quiet neighborhood.

Always Sport and PSE unless I am cruising on the freeway, in which case Sport is off and the Engine Deactiviation is on so as to take advantage of the "neutral coast" function.

I activate sport mode about 90% of the time. In my opinion the throttle reacts in a more predicable manner with sport mode on which allows me to engage the clutch more precisely. I drive a 6 speed MT 997.1. I'm used to drive by cable throttle engines. I don't like how the default setting (sport mode not engaged) makes the engine respond in a lazier manner.

How do you guys drive in Sport Plus Mode on normal roads?? Seriously, isn't that a bit of an overkill? Shifts don't occur until you redline! Normal Sport Mode is completely tolerable.
And I'm very curious how the previous poster is using an Arduino device to set Sport Mode?

Sport mode all the time. I toggle the PSE and suspension settings as needed. The PSE is turned off when I'm in my neighbourhood.
The reason I dont use sports plus all the time just because the PDK shifts so hard a times that it becomes a bit annoying in day to day traffic.

For the fellows that don't get it.....
It's going to be a different experience for a MT and a PDK car.
Honestly, in a manual trans car depending on rev match there isn't a whole lot to talk about.
In a PDK car I let the car warm up to 194 water, at least 160 oil and then always hit the Sport button. The PDK car drives so lethargic in regular auto. With PSE, it comes on automatically when you engage Sport or Sport Plus.
For those that are confused, the guy that say they are driving ALL the time in Sport Plus are driving a manual trans.
You can't drive without looking and sounding insane driving around the street in a PDK car in Sport Plus as it's been pointed out that a PDK with Sport Plus engaged, the trans holds every shift to redline. Perfect for the track but not for the street.
Personally, I'd like to have a mode right in between Sport and Sport Plus. I find that even in Sport the PDK short shifts the trans more than for my liking and I'm a pretty mellow guy.
Of course that's the best part. You can override the trans with the paddles whenever you want to! Brilliant!
