Default My GTS - Journal

Hello all,

So like others around here I decided to start a small journal about my new Porsche. I will add to it, as time goes on.

This will be my first Porsche, and owning a 911 has always been a dream for me, it is actually on my bucket list. So I will be looking forward to crossing it off when she finally gets delivered in January.

----------------

October 22, 2014 - Order is locked in. Early December build.

It is huge relief that I can't change the build anymore, I was losing sleep at night fretting over the options. This is the build that I ended up with. I did go over my limit, but not by too much.

2015 Carrera GTS

U2 - GT Silver Metallic
487 - 7-speed Manual Transmission
435 - 20-Inch 911 Turbo S Wheel, painted in matt black
030 - PASM Sport Suspension
AZ - Black leather interior
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P3E - Premium Package Plus
P3H - Bose Audio Package
602 - Full LED headlights
638 - Park assist with camera
653 - Glass Sunroof
712 - Deletion of GTS on side doors
XAJ - Side skirts painted
581 - Luggage net passenger footwell
583 - Smoking package
844 - Multi-function wheel
XSC - Porsche crest on headrests
EGA - Carbon interior package
XHM - Center console in carbon trim

Here is an image that helped inspire me with the build.

More to follow....

Congrats on the build. I feel you on the losing sleep part, my targa 4S was supposed to lock on Halloween but then I was told by the dealer it was pushed back 2 more weeks. I was somewhat relieved I wouldn't have to think about it after the 30th!

Nice build. GT Silver is a beautiful colour. It really shows off the 991's sexy lines, especially the pronounced rear fenders of the wide body.

I owned a GT Silver, 996 (40 yr anny edition) and the colour is easy to maintain too...

Stunning car!

GL/Cheers,

B

I feel your pain. Another two weeks would have killed me.

Vetsky, congrats and hope the wait is not too painful. I had GT silver on my last C4S and it remains one of my all-time favorite colors. I think it will look terrific on the GTS (GTs on a GTS, if you will) with the contrasting black trim details.

Yeah man. I hope it will be as nice as your Sapphire Blue cab.

Agreed, a light color was a must for me. I do think all the black parts with the glass sunroof will look great.

Plus, at least around here GT Silver is pretty rare.

GT Silver would be my #2 choice over Sapphire Blue.

Excellent build. GT Silver with the blacked out bits and glass roof will look amazing. You might also decide to tint your windows, which will make the contrast pop even more. Congrats on the order, and good luck with the wait!

you might want to think about painting the rear facia also, that will highlight the matte exhaust tips...
