Default finally in a 911

After a near lifetime of lusting for one, seemingly for as long as I can remember, finally pulled the trigger on a 911. Cpo'd '13 blk/blk c2 coupe w/pdk+sc, 7k miles. Had an '03 986 for 7 fun-filled yrs & approx 110k miles. Traded it in for a '10 Cayenne when kids came along. Wife being happy with her new '14 Cayenne gave me the ok to trade-in the '10 Cayenne for a 911. Been obsessively poring over Rennlist Forums & searching car listings. Was initially looking at 997.1's, then 997.2's, finally said why not a 991? Loving it thus far, non-stop ear to ear grin. And the kids fit in the back and seem to love it too. Certainly feels larger and more well-mannered(?) then my friends 997.1 that I drove(albeit a c2S cab). Maybe my memory is off but I felt that my old 986 was louder. Perhaps because the engine is closer to the driver? Missing that constant drone in my ear. Thinking about changing the exhaust. Otherwise, seemingly a most perfect car for me. Excellent forum here, a great help.

I got my first 911 a year ago. I still am smiling every day when I get in it. Great looking car.

Congrats! And you're not imagining things about the exhaust note. When I moved from a 997.1 to a 997.2 (9A1 engine), I noticed a big difference in engine sound as you mentioned.
