Default full leather retrofit or custom interior

Hi all,

I have posted a thread in 991 GT3 regarding the full leather retrofit. Forum member djcxxx did it on his 987 and it looks stunning! Have anyone done this on a 991? Any rattles or squeaks?

Thanks!

I think once you get your new 991 GT3 you'll forget all about leather air vent options and etc. If you can't get past that, sell it, and start again. Might be cheaper, higher quality, and better re-sale.

Lastly, treat the leather you do have with Zaino Z10 Leather-In-A-Bottle, and your car will smell like the full leather option. U r welcome!

Although this would likely send all of the PorSha guys into apoplexy, I had a custom leather interior installed in one of my MINI's before delivery. The dealer had an outside vendor that let you choose exactly what you wanted and turnaround was only a couple of days. The GM of the dealer at that time was a cycling friend of mine and I got front and back seats (no dash or door stuff) done for their cost of $1100. It was smooth black bolsters with red piping, and perforated in the middle with red showing through. The quality of the leather was much better than the MINI OEM and the workmanship was every bit as good as the factory stuff.
If you really want something unique done, I'd suggest searching out someone local to you who does this sort of thing, I'm sure LA is full of them.

I have a lot of leather including the vents and love it. Sure it's stupid expensive but also cool and very custom. It looks like they have actually added an extended leather package to the option list for those that are into this, at least on the 991.

Thanks guys! I should have went for leather/alcantara option it is only 3,480 over the standard interior. Have any of you guys deal with http://exclusiveoption.com ? How is their quality vs factory?

Thanks again!

My dealer specced my 2010 GT3 with a ton of (stupid) leather options, around $7k as I recall, when I bought it I negotiated all of them out of the MSRP ... I mean $18xx for leather covered seat backs that no one will see?
