Nice build. Good luck with the wait. It will be interesting to see how many folks spec their GTS with a manual vs. PDK, alcantara vs. leather and the CL wheels vs. the 5 lug wheels.

Looking at a GTS as well. However, in my case it will be a 2 GTS. Sat down this evening and built a bare bones GT3 and a well optioned GTS. With discounts the two were $7k apart. I had to ask myself how much I will track my next car. I'll be lucky to hit two events a year at 20-30 laps per event. I quit HSR and PCA racing a few years ago and am almost out of DE's.

Here's my build for comparison.

G1 Guards Red
AJ Black Standard Interior with Leather Seats 4 way (Can't get 14 way seats without adding a bunch of leather)
602 LED Headlights PDLS
P3H Bose
638 Park Assist F/R with Reversing Camera
XAA Aerokit Cup
ZAB Ornamental Crest
ZAC No Sunroof
030 PASM Sport Suspension
250 PDK
423 20" Carrera S Wheels 5 Lug (Last 2 cars have had CL's, I'm done)
276 Auto Dimming Mirrors
509 Fire Extinguisher
581 Luggage Net Passenger Side
583 Smoking Package
714 Deletion Alcantara
P05 Sport Seats Plus 4 Way
XFG Instrument Dials in Guards Red
XSX Seat Belts in Guards Red
840 Sport Design Steering Wheel
900 ED
$131245 Total

I could switch to Black Metallic Paint and Yellow Instruments and Belts

Looking at Euro Delivery in May.

I built a GT3 as well and it was only 2k more than my optioned GTS. That's why I am going crazy debating whether I should go with the GT3.

In your case, for $2k I would go with the GT3... although its PDK only and there are no rear seats ... I think its better value (in this case) and you will get a better car ... if you ticked PDK on the GTS
the GT3 would be cheaper...

mrsmitty,

I currently have a 2010 GT3 so I have scratched that itch. I rarely use what my GT3 has to offer and the GTS is only down 5 hp to it's engine. However, I can see where the new GT3 power level would be tempting. If I were tracking 4 - 6 times a year I'd get the GT3.

If I'm gonna spend that type of lolly I'd get a GT3. I'd get a GT3 for a daily driver.

KEEP YOUR GT3!!!
I know, I know. I keep thinking I may regret selling the GT3 just like I did with my 73 S, RSA and 94 3.6 turbo. The 73 S was in Viper Green

Just asked my dealer if its even possible to get an allocation for a GT3. So we will see what he says.

Update: Dealer told me nope no chance of getting a GT3. Oh well I guess the GTS will tie me over. I suppose I could always trade it in the future for a future GT3 or GT3RS

Also found out if you go full leather you can't get deviating stitching even if you request it. My dealer asked Melissa from Porsche exclusive and its a no go . Don't really know if I would want the alcantara plus its several thousand more to get the GTS package.
