My GTS Cabriolet Build...
#46
I agree with everyone who says "no" to the ducktail on a cabrio. I like the ducktail on a coupe, but not on a cabrio.
As for the black engine cover, I think that would have looked fantastic on my Mexico Blue cab with black top. Maybe it looks a little less great with a blue top, but there is still enough black on any build (tires, etc.) for it to be OK. I think your blue/blue combo will be terrific. The GT silver build also looks very nice, but I'm a blue fan.

big car = big trunk = happy spousal unit = stupid happy hubby
ps I do like the duck but I bet your wife likes things that go up and down so you may want to keep it stock.......although I could see "Homer" professionally etched (for a $500 up-charge) on the underside of the duck!

The spousal unit is only interested in brands such as Valentino, Jimmy Choo, Christian Lubuton, Prada etc ... so unless Porsche does a 911 Valentino edition I think is my secret safe ...
She went from a 550 to a 750 because "she likes big cars" ... then she started noticing cabs everywhere ...
note that this is a bit like the bowling ball that Homer got Marge (Simpson) for her birthday ... the ball that said "Homer" on it!

Its my DD but she will want to drive it too, which means PDK, and well not to (re)start a PDK vs manual debate (no, really) given that the 7MT is essentially a PDK box with a clutch and a cable shifter ... I might as well have the car do it.
After all I have the GT3 with a real manual transmission in it!

*and* the GT3 has a wing ... so I can get my fix from that!

Nice build Larry. That will be a beautiful car. The only thing I'd change are the clear tail lights. If you order the reds at no charge, you can order the clears from Suncoast for about the same price. That way you can try both and choose for the same cost.
