I agree with everyone who says "no" to the ducktail on a cabrio. I like the ducktail on a coupe, but not on a cabrio.

As for the black engine cover, I think that would have looked fantastic on my Mexico Blue cab with black top. Maybe it looks a little less great with a blue top, but there is still enough black on any build (tires, etc.) for it to be OK. I think your blue/blue combo will be terrific. The GT silver build also looks very nice, but I'm a blue fan.

Ducktail always looks better (fantastic) in the flesh IMO... But more so on the coupe... Not sure if it suits the cabrio lines...
Will look astonishing either way & love the blue!

I think I am coming to my senses ... just a little concerned about all that black (wheels and engine cover) with the sapphire blue... but I think it will work, and I just saved 2k!

now all I have to do is wait 6 months!

Cool build. Assuming bose is not standard, did I miss a stereo option? Staying with the base?

big car = big trunk = happy spousal unit = stupid happy hubby

ps I do like the duck but I bet your wife likes things that go up and down so you may want to keep it stock.......although I could see "Homer" professionally etched (for a $500 up-charge) on the underside of the duck!

note that this is a bit like the bowling ball that Homer got Marge (Simpson) for her birthday ... the ball that said "Homer" on it!

Yeah it all depends on when the PTS window is and how that impacts delivery dates... doing ED *and* PTS can be difficult to acheive

Mine will be w/ ducktail and it makes the black engine cover grille to go away.

Its my DD but she will want to drive it too, which means PDK, and well not to (re)start a PDK vs manual debate (no, really) given that the 7MT is essentially a PDK box with a clutch and a cable shifter ... I might as well have the car do it.

After all I have the GT3 with a real manual transmission in it!

That's why I was going to spec it too... but at the end of the day, I dont think the DT works for me on the cabriolet, and I'm not sure the wife would like it...

*and* the GT3 has a wing ... so I can get my fix from that!

Nice build Larry. That will be a beautiful car. The only thing I'd change are the clear tail lights. If you order the reds at no charge, you can order the clears from Suncoast for about the same price. That way you can try both and choose for the same cost.
