Default Targa...Viper Green with Pepita...?

M considering ordering a new Targa and would like to specify a reprise of a 70s era scheme.

Does anyone know if Porsche Exclusive can accommodate an order for Viper Green, Tangerine etc with the new Pepita check interior?

Think this would be very beautiful?

1) 'Viper Green' is an approved Paint-to-Sample color for the 991. It's color code '225'.

2) 'Tangerine/Blutorange' is not yet approved for PTS. It's historic color code is '018'. But you have available to you a variety of other bright 'Age of Aquarius' colors via PTS - 'Riviera Blue', 'Signal Green', 'Gulf Orange', 'Mexico Blue', 'Signal Yellow', 'Green', etc.

3) 'Pepita/Houndstooth' seat inlays are apparently exclusive to the MY2014 50th Anniversary edition 991. To my knowledge it has NOT been allowed to be optioned on any other 'custom order'!

For more info on 'custom ordering' a 991, I suggest you read thread at link below:

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. on this forum, you're going to get a resounding YES from the PTS'ers and yes/no-s from everyone else. i love the loud colors but i don't have the ***** (and leash with respect to license) to rock them. viper and signal green are my favorites of the PTS colors...see JUPJAI's progress as he's moving with it. i'm not a fan of the pepita but i also have a leather fetish. when it comes to messing about with scheme, i believe that less is more and consistency is key. i'd rather be a bit more boring but not risk f'ing up the car's aesthetic. there have been some brutal custom orders out there...Z356's thread is testimony. good luck!

Ask a 50th owner to order the inserts for you. Yes, the parts department needs a proper VIN.

That's good to know as I want the same fabric in my classic 911 (when I find one).

Lex:
For your information, Jupjay is custom ordering a 911 Turbo from factory. He is not interested in replacing the inlays on his seats once he gets his car!

Fairly easy...if you are a graduate of the Montana Horseman Saddle Building School in Belgrade and have a Techsew 5100 or Techsew 3650HD industrial sewing machine in your workshop. Most of us do. Piece of cake!

Some of us even have a computerised quilting machine which can stitch any of 50,000 patterns on any material including leather. So if you like to replicate your wife's handbag pattern in your trunk ala Singer/Ralf Lauren, then its not a problem.

Hey Mondrian can your sewing rig do the thicker crocodile inlays? I just finished doing my Cayenne in Croc & alcantara but I am thinking of changing it to 'pepita'. I was originally intending to do that croc interior on my Cayman...but I then thought it would be redundant. Regardless, the whole alligator thing is just a tad too Ralph Lif****z for my taste!

We haven't got any alligators here so haven't tried it but if I see one I will push it through and see what comes out the other end. BTW your avatar is going to cost me a lot of money (read my signature).
