Default Steering wheel scrapes

I have 2014 911 MT, MF steering wheel. Had a raised scratch at 12 O'clock which was fixed by dealer and looks and feels perfect. Had to valet at a hotel and had car washed by dealer and now noticed another at 11 O'clock. I wear no rings…
Anyone else have repeated scratches on their steering wheel? I've had a lot of cars but never had this problem. Strange as I also have a tiny one on my 335i M Sport.

Hmm, odd. I wear a wedding ring and no scratches.

Do your Jeans hit the wheel on your way in or out of the car?

Become a metrosexual and get a mani/pedi.

And stop valeting your car and asking the dealership to wash it. You're really starting to **** me off.

My '06 Cayman S with sand beige interior had a steering wheel that attracted scratches like a magnet. Just an errant tightly clipped fingernail would do the deed, never mind what a metal ring could do. The leather seemed very, very soft.
The black one in my 991 seems better. Leather still feels good to the touch, but seems to be "harder" and of course anything that did happen wouldn't be as visible. Seems to me the only solution to this is just be careful.

Are you wearing a pocket knife that clips outside your pants pocket?
I did the same thing in the car before this one...Couldn't figure out where the scratches were coming from!

Aside from all the sarcasm, I have had multiple scratches. One major one underneath that was fixed by dealer (though not perfect, it's not visible). A couple of other tiny ones where anything (phone, nail, whatever) hit. The leather on these cars is very very soft (maybe too soft for the steering wheel). My MB leather is not as soft, but has held up tremendously well in comparison.

LOL, really? You paid extra for the CF steering wheel because you were worried the stock model might get scratched? Sounds like a line I might try on my wife, but would just result in getting the stink eye.

I told my wife the leather wheel will keep absorbing my sweat and in three years it will be very gross...

Where did you get the CF steering wheel? Suncoast? I didn't see one for a SportsDesign version.

It is the Multi-function CF steering wheel, I ordered it when I ordered my car.
