This is the latest PTS list I have received thanks to Melissa Witek of 'Porsche Exclusive' in Atlanta.

Wow, I had no idea that Porsche went to this. It used to be that you brought in a paint sample, and they painted it that color. Isn't that what paint to sample means? This sounds like optional paint.
Perhaps I'm old or not reading this right.

No...I thought you were doing that!
Yes, you are both old and not reading it right.
It's still Paint-to-Sample. If you want the color of your wife's favorite lipstick (yes, another excuse for me to show female 'lips'!) on your new 991, have your local painter match the color on a piece of metal and send it to PAG with your order for a new Porsche! That is Paint-to-Sample...and PAG will oblige with a feasibility test of it!
But if you want 'Riviera Blue' or 'Viper Green', someone else (a previous Porsche customer) has already DONE that work for you and has had that exact color approved by the factory! Now all you need to do is say 'Me Too' and order it if you get a PTS allocation for the model you are interested in. Why do you find an objection to the factory telling you what colors have been already tested & approved for other clients for your particular model? Or the colors that have been tested & rejected so you don't waste your precious time making a sample & sending it in? Would you rather NOT know?

Thanks for the confirmation and the excellent clarification of your research. Wish we could have met when I was your way for the Parade and last weeks auction. Never met a Guru!
