Any regrets with PDK over MT?

I don't regret the PDK, but miss the manual like hell. It's really a dilemma, because both are equally good. However, for daily driver, I think the manual gives you more, since you are not fighting for the best lap time, but you want to have the most fun / involvement...not sure I am helping you so I will stop it here

That is a very good point regarding resell and not losing money on expensive options it is the only way to cover costs of the powerkit.

As for 50th - I got mine because it had 4 options that were unique and impossible to replicate (as a group) in future on any other 911.
Wide body rear wheel drive
Geyser Grey colour
Green dials
Pepita seats
Fuchs, Chrome detailing, X51 etc could always be added to any 911 but would cost more $$$ than 50th

No regrets. In fact my search for my first Porsche started with the desire to drive a PDK transmission car. Manual did not appeal to me. I don't like to work that hard anymore.

If anything I think PDK suits the 991 better. There are so many systems designed to work together for maximum performance.

Seems like the best way to reconcile the debate is to admit that it's not a binary thing. If you've appreciated manual transmissions in sports cars in the past, you will regret not getting a manual in your new car X% of the time. On the other hand, if you drive your car frequently/daily in real-world situations in most parts of the world, you will regret not getting a PDK Y% of the time. For 99% of drivers, neither X nor Y will be zero, so you need to think carefully about what those two percentages are. No one else can answer that question for you.
I'm a big fan of PDK, by at least an 85-15 split. But if I were buying a 50th Anniversary car I'll admit I'd give the stick shift a lot of thought, just because it would feel very appropriate in that model.

No debate in this thread. The OP asked if anyone who HAD PDK had any regrets. He did NOT ask anyone with MT if they had regrets or why they like MT. Of course, in typical forum fashion, some people feel the need to justify their purchase. Just answer his question. No regrets.
P.S. Go to the Alpha forums and listen to them bitch that the 4C only comes with a dual clutch automatic. The horror of it all. Another one bites the dust.
