Default Sport PASM Part Numbers

Hello,

I have a 991 C2S Cab and I want to put Sport PASM on it. I know Porsche does not offer that option, however, I want to do it anyway. Does anyone know the required part numbers and if the spoiler can be re-programed on a cab to work correctly?

Thank you in advance.

Wait. Is it sport PASM that they don't offer on cabs or PDCC or both? Also if porsche doesn't offer it, does anyone know why? There must be some reason since it's an option that they charge a hefty mark up for.

I have PDCC on my cab but couldn't get SPASM. I think it's something to do with body shell stiffness not being "stiff" enough on a Cab.

You are correct, Porsche does not offer it. I like a bit stiffer ride and the spring rates of the SPASM don't seem unreasonable. I ran the M030 sport suspension on my 996 Cab for 7 years with no problem and the spring rates were much higher than SPASM. I'd like to get it if I can but I also want to confirm that the spoiler can be re-programed.

Spring rates are only a part of it. With PASM, Sport or otherwise, what really makes the difference is the active shock damping rates. M030 is totally old-school, back when spring rates were key with (fixed) damping matched to the springs. When shocks were fixed rate we had no choice but to put up 24/7 with a suspension far stiffer than was needed 99% of the time, just in order to be ready for that 1%. Thankfully, like having to move your left leg and right arm all over the place, quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Good point. I found some info that suggested that on the 997 the shocks were the same, only the springs and roll bars change. I have not found out what is involved on the 991... Any idea?

I just would like the car a bit lower and stiffer...
