Default Painted Gauges

I'm thinking RED. But are they are harder to see with a black int instead of white ones?

Just remember, the red gauges still use Red-ish arrows on the arms.

Black on white has a contrast value of 91. White on red has a contrast value of 84, but it will probably be effectively somewhat less than that because the red will tend to overwhelm small lettering.

I leased this C4S last January and now I'm not so sure about the colored dials because of the TFT dial that does not match the painted dials and gives the instruments a very assymmetric look. I think a better choice would be like Ferrari with just the tachometer painted.

I have ordered white gauges for my black/black 991s.

I moaned about paying extra for the Carrara White Sport Chrono clock.

What does this dial even do? Is it just for timing?

I have also ordered Brushed aluminium interior package, Brushed aluminium centre console trim to break up the black a bit more..

Car due in September... the wait is not getting easier.

You will like the brushed aluminum package. Gives the trim a lot more depth . As far as the gauges go its hard to know the answer, but stock is difficult to see in bright light.

Yellow car, black interior, yellow dials look great. Would do it again. Excellent contrast. At night cannot tell dial is yellow.

Your white gauges will look great. The Chrono clock now doubles as a timing device, and when not used for that, it's always an active clock for the time of day.

Thanks man.. I look forward to posting the pictures when it arrives.

I am being loaned a yellow 991s with yellow gauges next Friday for the day. I'll take pictures and post them next week. Yellow is most definitely NOT my colour but its a free car for one day, so I'm sure I will cope.
