Just got my first 911 -- a total snore
After a decade of owning Porsches I finally got my first 911 -- a 991 C2S with sport exhaust, sport plus seats, sport PASM, etc. To be honest - it's nearly as boring as the Nissan GTR I drove in Dubai other than the noise and the fact that the car actually feels like a quality machine whereas the GTR felt like an upgraded turbocharged version of the G37x I had owned with almost the exact same interior and exterior quality befitting a $40,000 car instead of a $90,000 one.
The steering is numb. The PDK is boring but works so well that the manual mode feels almost pointless. The car is uninspiring in every way other than looks and the overall build quality.
It's like a hot chick that you're super excited to have sex with until you get in bed with her and she just lays there like a slug.
It's no wonder the prices of 993s and older GT3s are going to the moon.
"Porsche - there was no substitute. Now it's just any other Volkswagen-owned brand."

Dude what drugs are you on? I just came from TWO GT3s before this one. Does it do things better than the older GT3's YES, is it less twitching and skitish? YES! Is it more comfortable because of the longer wheelbase and wider track? Yes! All good things, now take it to the track and start learning.
I mean how can you say its less than other 911s without ever owning one and learning how they developed. I came from a 993 Turbo, to a Monster modified Manthey 996 GT3, then a 997 GT3 to a 997.2 C2S to this one. What a GREAT ride, and to understand how this all happened and be involved with the evolution, is priceless. The TRACK needs to be in your future, OR an education on other models of 911. I wouldnt want to go back for anything but a coffee and cars get together on a Sun Morn.

the OP in entitled to his opinion.
One question for the OP- Why did you opt for the PDK instead of the stick? It seems to me that the latter would provide the involvement youre looking for?

There is a long running commercial on t.v. stating that I stayed at this hotel now I am a expert.
Now saying that I drove laps at nurburgring, so my statements are legit has become a thing.
Did you DRIVE the car before you bought it? If so how did these boring traits escape you.

Is anyone collecting these? That way at the end of the year we could have a run-off vote on who started the most idiotic troll thread.
In the category of most clueless driver, the nominees are….
And in the category of dropping the most super car references while feigning blasé ennui bordering on disdain for everything real enthusiasts admire the winner is…
We'll be right back after the break with Special Guest Jeremy Clarkson introducing the nominees for most inept automotive sexual metaphors!
