I drove to Cjwl's house at 5 am. Then I turned on the PSE. Then I rev'ed it to 7K rpm till I woke up his whole family. Then I laughed and drove away......no wait, he lives in a basement apartment so it wouldn't work.

Drove it to work then got pissed that we had an isolated rain shower that looked like it only rained over my car. I spent time over the weekend washing it and getting it looking really nice and clean! NOw that it got wet, I'm sure that will take a hit on resale value.

Today was my appointment for the first service. We live about 85 mi from the dealer on I80. As I was exercising this morning watching the news, a tractor-trailer had just caught fire about 15 miles down I80 and the report was the highway was closed both directions.

That was at 6:30 and our appointment was at 9:00. An easy normal drive in 1-1/2 hr. I told my wife we better leave ASAP, as the only other routes are 40 miles longer and all 2-lane through the mountains.

We left at 7:00 and got to the dealership at 9:05. My wife said the ride was akin to a Disneyland roller coaster ride, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had two major multiple-car passes on limited straights. Damn, does the 'S' ever accelerate from 55 to 100 when you ask it to.

And yea, also got the "instrument cluster" software update, but didn't notice any changes so far. It took the tech nearly two hours to accomplish this task, however. They said some are more difficult than others.

The 991 is one fine road car.
