I was in sport mode when my clutch pedal stuck to the floor...I failed to mention that. But I wasn't really pushing the car at all...I was 6th in a line of P cars. I have since talked to the mechanic that used to work on my 996 (not at the dealer) and we have discussed this issue...he is thinking there "could" be an issue with the slave cylinder or the new clutch spring that sits just behind the clutch pedal. But no way to know. It has not happened to me again but the I still think I am getting that clutch "burn" smell. Porsche NA remains mute on the issue. Am considering call Porsche NA this week.

lets not get into these debate, I can post other pdk threads with problems, but that is not what this thread is about. By the way, I still don't have a problem with the 7sp mt, and its been 9 month.

Who wants a debate?

Just a little humor.

they also pulled transmission to check the clutch pressure plate and spring, and it was all good. I thought that was very thorough.

Update. Happened again today while just driving around town. In 5th gear...pedal just disappeared. Got her off the road...called Porsche Roadside...left pedal stuck to floor and let them flatbed her to dealer. She is there now...Little harder for them to deny with the pedal still stuck to the floor. I will call and let them know about the repairs that rcg412 has had done. Gee...do you think this could be shared by Porsche NA across the communication gap? rcg412...who is your dealer? For the Porsche, I mean...LOL

Please keep me posted on whether this "fix" works or not. It seems I may be the only one who has had the problem "repeat"

I count 4 cars here, LLB, rcg412, duxi, RADManZulu .... would be good to keep track and count to see how widespread this problem is and how it develops over time.

Just to clarify, mine was replaced because the master cylinder sprang a leak.
Pedal had not (yet) stuck to the floor.

rcg412 and I spoke by phone last night. He was VERY helpful. I have also shared his dealership info with my dealership...and the mechanic who did the work on his. All the work was done on his per PCNA. So far, PCNA is only suggesting a master cylinder on mine versus a slave and master on his...wft? I will see what today brings.
Pretty frustrating. I waited 6 months for my special order Mexico Blue...and I'm not feeling the love.

Will keep you all posted. Thanks!

The latest from my dealer: PCNA has directed the dealer to replace both slave and master cylinder and to drop the transmission to check the clutch pressure plate and spring. This is identical to what was performed on rcg412's 991S in CT. So, I guess I'll hide and watch and see how she drives when I get her home again. Doubt I'll get her before Friday. Stay tuned. Thanks for all the positive vibes.
