Default Need Brakes

I have 2014 C2 with 3k miles that needs front brakes and rotors already.
It's kind of shocking to me, i've had the car for a couple of months and i barely drive it. I was wondering if anyone had the same issue or any ideas of what could possibly make the brakes go bad after only 3K miles.

Thanks

When braking, the steering wheel shaked so i brought it to my dealership. They concluded it needed front pads and rotors which they didn't have in stock.
I do not track my car and haven't really driven it aggressively

Can cross-drilled rotors even be resurfaced? Don't think so.

good point
the rotors are cast from steel and turned on a lathe? then drilled? or the holes are cast? coz some holes are not all the way through
me think could be done very carefully?
but at 3K mi it should me covered under warranty?

Unless you were heavily tracking the car, I don't see how the pads and rotors would be worn/warped in such a short period of driving. I know these are wear items but I would have another dealer see about the issue.

One thing that puzzles me, you barely drive it but have put on 3k miles in a couple months. Those two things don't go together. Was the car new or used? The reason I ask is the other guys are right, only very hard track use could account for that kind of wear. Also, why new parts? Reasons to replace rotors are visible cracking, measurable wear, and judder. Judder is when you feel the steering wheel vibrating rapidly left to right under braking, and the harder you brake the worse it gets. Most people assume this means warped rotors. More often it means you overheated your street pads and they deposited material on the rotor. This problem will go away on its own, usually fairly quickly. If your experience doesn't fit any of these then yeah, like others have said, find another dealer!

Is this a PDK? If so, do you drive with your left foot on the brake?

I'm with the others here. There is no way your pads, let alone your rotors, should have to be replaced if you aren't tracking the car. It's unlikely you'd be able to do that sort of damage on the street without killing someone.

Still on my original pads etc and they're fine (all green on the sheet) according to last service. Something's up for sure.

I got my car last September, brand new. I have exactly 3k miles. It's a 7speed manual, never tracked the car. When I'm doing at least 70 or faster and start to brake, the steering wheels shakes. Took it to the dealer and that's what they said.. They can't figure out why that happened but say it might be a factory defect..

Sounds like something that should be covered under warranty.
