Get the BMW brand Carbon Fiber (genuine) "slim-line" frames. They are thin, very trick, and 100% C/F. I have them on my 991 Cab. About $ 100 each

Here's a link:

From rear images I have studied I can tell the 991 has a larger plate area than the 997 so the updated noPhotos should be fine.

The noPhotos do require some wiring but it is pretty straightforward, especially if your car is equipped with a rear parking camera. You can view our wiring tutorial here. I would recommend the updated noPhotos for your car as they include a housing for the wiring's quick disconnect, that is much more aesthetically pleasing.

Advance Auto Parts carries a thin "black chrome" frame which when matched with their slightly convex clear lexon cover gives a great finished look that in the front matches the headlight covers' look. On my Agate car the color is also most a perfect match. My rear diffuser fits right below the top frame's lip.

The highest quality ones I have found are made by Camisasca. They make the OEM ones for Porsche and BMW. Here is a link to view the available finishes in type you are looking for ("Classic Plain Frames") pages 3 and 4. Also note the "Security Caps" on page 5 of "License Plate Frame accessories". Link: http://www.camincusa.com/speciality_...cts.html#cover

They are available here: http://www.sheepskinoutlet.net/page/142183 and sometimes on Amazon if you search for Camisasca.

Thanks for that!
That's the best option i've seen so far, especially at that price.
I just got the super thin ones, four holes, powder coated black, with hardware kits.
