Default Projected Used Car Value for 991 in 2017?

Can anyone shed light or steer me towards resources that give projected future value of used 2012 991 models in the year 2017? Say with 30-40k miles and modestly equipped?

Sounds about right. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ge-milage.html

Driving home from Jackson Hole one time there was a 1980-something 7-series BMW almost kept up with my 79 SC going over the pass. By the time I got down on the flats I thought he was long gone. But then here he comes, 120-130, passes me and with Idaho plates I figure he must know something so on we went, and smooth sailing too just so long as I stayed a good 100 yds back, far enough to let the grit from his wake settle down. When he stopped for gas I did too and after admiring each others cars he expressed some regret at how much more his car had depreciated than mine. I asked if he planned on selling it. No. Then what do you care what someone else thinks your car is worth? You're still driving a damn fast high performance car, its given you many years of driving pleasure, its paid for, and its still a blast to drive.

You asked for resources to shed light on future value. Well here it is: park it and its hard to think of a worse investment. Drive it and its priceless.

The residual value they quote on a 3 year lease. Actually, they're. Quoting %59 on a base coupe.

i would have guessed 50% for a coupe and a little less for the cab.
Isnt there a 991.2 coming in 2016?

Yes it is - likely less than half original MSRP.

Total conjecture anyway, but what do people think will be a realistic bottom price point as well as any potential upward swing (as minor as it may be). Most older 911 price lines tend to look more like a U than an L in the long run it seems. (no, I'm *not* saying its an "investment" lol)

Those "older 911" are:

Air cooled
Limited production numbers

Not going to happen with our 991 variant.

Was just quoted 58% as the lease residual after 36 mos 12k miles/yr. But as stated above, pure conjecture. Lately I've been privately selling my cars and what the market will bare is quite different than KBB or NADA book values - even grading my cars conservatively. YMMV but I wouldn't consider any of these numbers carved in stone.
