Pretty cool mounting system on Kickstarter http://tinyurl.com/zbo7uul

They have a surface mount, dash mount, vent mount, window mount and power mount along with adapter plates (scroll down to the bottom of the page) so you don't have to purchase one of their cases.

There is already a small magnetic mount (for any brand phone)- company is Scosch. Can be dash or vent mounted.
I have the dash mount and it's very good.

Why would "pledge" to buy something that doesn't exists, and of unknown quality, when amazon is full of real magnetic mounts with real user reviews... Beats me.

Scosche is a good quality brand for magnetic mounts. I use it sometimes per customer request. Problem with them is that roads in you area has to be extra smooth and you have to drive extra nice. Or you'll be digging your phone from under the seat

I did it because I really liked the thin leather case in Butterscotch... with a dash and window mount all for $60? Pretty low risk in my book...

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a mount for mine. Any suggestions?

Long term update, any broken air vents yet? Airframe seems to be the best bang for $20. I need to run my Valentine V1 from my phone at night, so the flashing lights by the mirror won't attract unwanted attention. http://www.kenu.com/#/products/airframe

SCOSCHE Magnetic Vent Mount.

Nearly totally invisible when phone is removed.

Best used if you have a cover on the phone and you can slip the small magnet between your phone and the cover. Holds well enough. Never falls.

No clips, no moving parts, nothing to adjust, can remove and attach with one hand. Just grab and go when leaving.

PROS:
1 Hand Use
Invisible
Phone Looks Nicely integrated with Dash.

Cons:
1 Vent is blocked. (no big deal)

iPhone attached to vent via magnet with USB. PCM on iPhone with spotify songs

USB hidden behind PCM trim and plugged into glovebox USB slot

This is what I have in mine. magnetic vent holder with magnet between phone and case. USB plug allows Spotify streaming and can use Waze easily for nav and even Siri for replying to text. Why change the factory PCM for Apple Play when this looks just as good and works even better?

I ordered Kenu Airframe. Highest rated, simplest to use, and best customer service. $20 shipped. All long term reviews didn't report damage to the air vents.

Kuda mount with Skosch (sp?) magnet. Phone stays put in everything I've driven over. Can use phone with one hand. Looks decent. Not in the way. Even for passenger. Wife drove home (wine) last week. I'm 6'2" 190# no issue. Yeah, all these ph mounts look cheesily after market, but this is what we've got.

I've used these for years and have found them to work well for a long time. Far superior to the Belkin ones I bought, believing they were better. Very secure and very discreet.
