For a luxury sedan or SUV maybe this configuration would have some appeal. For the next 911 though it does nothing for me. Actually I hate it. Seriously, does this look like something built around decades of race track heritage? Both the 996 & 997 were drifting away from it but with this the drift seems to be complete. Wonder what the GT cars will look like. Same except for the center console movie theater display? As alluded to a few pages back, the 997 GTS could go down as the next 993 S.

Rhetorically, what does it say that the only thing that anyone has come up with so far is a spare tire (and perhaps the steering wheel)? Was the 996 really that awful?
