You mean the one that will make the 991.1 a POS on Rennlist?

Absolutely!

BTW, the Panamera two-stage tail deploys first at 75 mph and then again (wider) at 125 mph). Something most of us won't find that useful on Route 101...ask me how I know!

My plan to get a 2010 GT3 as my next car just got a lot more real.

Electric steering! How pointless. "Save" .1 mpg with the risk of completely c#cking up the steering feel - see new bmw 5 series.

Total POSER cr*p? The elegant, secretive and presumably-fully-effective protractible spoiler on the 997.1 wasn't good enough!?!?

I'd like to know: what is the justification for this new design? Boy racer and "Transformer" marketing appeal?

I'm not saying there is NOT a valid engineering justification, I'd like to know what it is. Honestly: I bet it's all for styling appeal which p*sses me off a bit more and more with each new model.

Those SILLY wings!

BTW. Ummmmm..., boy! Chrysler had the right idea! (joking).

I thought it was the one that reinforced keeping the 991.1 since they didn't do enought to make the upgrade worth it. Now I am all confused about which one I am supposed to like/bash.

For road cars? Bash anything that is not necessary for performance on the Autobahn. My street car shouldn't be made to look like a race car UNLESS it _IS_ a race car.

That's why the protractile 997 spoiler is sooooo amazingly elegant: it does it's job when there's a job to do and then retracts.

The 991 spoiler will also retract like the 997. People who like the look of spoilers can choose to leave their spoilers up in either the 997 or 991. Only difference is that the 997 has a "mini whale tail" look, while the 991 has a "997 turbo" look when up. I'm sure the added width must add downforce as well.
