Default Aluminum wheel hubs

I am talking about the aluminium things the tires bolt to. Well mine are pitted and need some TLC to look better. Any suggestions? Should i polish? Paint? Any "how toos" are appreciated.

I assume you mean the "rotor hat". I haven't had this issue with my 991. I didn't have it with my 997 either. Warranty might be the way to go.

It's hard to understand what specific part you are referring to. Please post a picture.

it is officially called the wheel hub and the service guy says pitting is common especially when you live by the coast, so I guess I am going to paint mine black!!

You cannot see a wheel hub - they are completely covered by rotor hats. If you mean rotor hats, they are easy to paint or even replace (together with a rotor).

I guess you could be referring to the steel center wheel hub. I use it to balance and rotate the wheel on it to line up the lug holes. Because of a slow leak, I recently took off a 5-lug wheel. After it took some effort to try and break it loose, I used a firm kick. The center wheel hub was covered with rust so I used a rust remover and then coated it with anti-seize. I also put some on the alloy wheel mating surfaces to prevent any electrolysis.
