991 Turbo
245/35ZR20 91Y -- 8.5Jx20 ET51
305/30ZR20 103Y --11Jx20 ET56
or
245/35ZR20 91Y -- 9Jx20 ET51
305/30ZR20 103Y --11.5Jx20 ET56
or Winter wheels/Tires
245/35R20 91V --8.5Jx20 ET51
295/30R20 97V --11Jx20 ET59
991 Turbo S
245/35ZR20 91Y -- 9Jx20 ET51
305/30ZR20 103Y --11.5Jx20 ET56
And same as Turbo sizes for winter wheels (11x20 ET59)
In both cases the sizes discussed earlier in the thread are still the best wider track combo.

Can an owner with a 2017 ttS have a look in his hand book and report what size it says his rears are ?
Interesting for Porsche to get this wrong in multiple places !

The original reference saying the turbo wheels are 0.5" wider is correct: the 5 lugs that come standard on the TT are no longer 11" wide, they're 11.5". This didn't impact the optional 11.5" sport classic wheels or TTS center lock wheels.
I'm not sure any TT/TTS standard or optional factory wheels come in a 12" rear rim width. I'm not aware of any FWIW.
With the 991.2, 11" rears are still available for snow tires as the N Spec snows only go up to are 295 section width and apparently Porsche thinks that's a bit stretched on 11.5" wheels.

Hence my original post..... so it is the parts catalogue and technical data (and configurator)which are wrong ?

Another super random note...the G550 has an option to have G63 fenders..not many know or do it....many dealers don't even notice it. This obviously affects flush wheel fitment if not taken into account.

I may have missed it or didn't see it.
Are the 5 Lug wheels on a 2017 991.2 Turbo S the same width as the Centerlocks on a Turbo S???
I think I read in another thread that on the 991.1's that had 5 lugs, the wheels were more narrow than the CL's..

It sounds like some are suggesting that the 991.2 "Turbo" wheels (five lug, not centerlock, not Turbo S wheels) are now 11.5" as well, but I've seen no confirmation of that, nor any confirmation that the .2 Centerlock S wheels are now 12".
If I had a .2 instead of a .1, I'd go out and look myself, but alas someone else is going to have to physically confirm some of this...
(I'm skeptical myself, and suspect there are no changes to the .2 wheels for the us market. 10.5 if five-lug, 11" if centerlock, but happy to be shown I'm in error with actual wheel stampings, not marketing materials)

On the 991.1 Generation Turbo S, you definitely 'downsized' wheel width if you opted for 5-lug "Turbo" wheels (11") instead of the standard "Turbo S" centerlocks (11.5").

Seams on Suncoast Parts, shows 8.5 F and 11.0 for 5 lug and CL's on a 2017.
Can anyone confirm this??

Why would Porsche do this?
Is there any real benefit to the extra .5 inch on the CL's??
Is there a disadvantage to buying a car with 5 lugs?

1000 times easier to fix a flat on the road. If I had a do over, 5 lug. Will order the next one that way even though I just bought the torque tool and leave it and a breaker bar in the car.

Well the one I'm looking at has 5 lugs... but just like you I just bought a nice Precision 600 ft. lb. torque wrench sent, CL tool, and paste for my spare set I bought for my 997.2TTS... It's gone, so now I have to decide how I want to go when I decide to purchase my next TTS (hopefully 991.2).
As long as the 1/2 narrower wheels don't change the looks / handling / contact patch much, then I guess the 5 lugs would be better for a street car.

I absolutely prefer the wider centerlock wheels, especially since I'm looking at going to a 265/35-20 325/30-20 tire combo. I keep a very compact Armstrong 3:1 torque multiplier in the car. That along with a standard 1/2" breaker bar and/or torque wrench that *any* shop would have, kind of sidesteps much of the CL hassle.
I personally wouldn't avoid a Turbo S because it had five-lugs, but I definitely would not insist on it.
