so here are the mods i have planned so far

1.) High gloss black on the remaining Matt plastic applications on the front and rear bumper
2.) High gloss black roof (like the glass sunroof)
3.) front protection invisble wrapping against stones
4.) glass coating ultra on the entire car (had this done on a few of my other cars - and it is amazing stuff)

5.) Exhaust - not yet decided on anything here - but I like it a little louder - even though I like the sound itself, it could just be a little more present. maybe just changing to sport cats 200 Cells.

I do have a insoric system at home - so I can properly measure stock power, and of course I am interested - so weather permitting and giving it a little bit more running in time - i ll do this as well. Hopefully the results are positive and not depressing :-)

I am not a youtuber, but I might be doing these things with a video to provide a bit more insight on these.

Oh too bad about the trim...mine came chrome and I had them filmed with high gloss..they did a pretty good job for a finicky task...I think glossy black fits better...for me at least..

Does the deviating stitching not appear in the online configurator? I can't seem to find it as an option?

Wasn't thinking of that... interesting idea. And to trial it would be quite inexpensive and reversible compared to disassembly/paint/reassembly.

No it doesn't. The closest thing is if you pull up an option that adds them such as the new cloth seats. It won't let you pick the color but gives you an idea of how it might look.

Thanks. So a US dealer can still order it even though it's not on the configurator? Anything other common things like that I might be forgetting that doesn't appear online?

you go to the dealer they can configure your car with A LOT MORE Options than online. most of the exclusive stuff is not possible online due the complexity behind it. - As far as I know - for money you can get almost anything, even painted wheels in all colors. Here in Germany they delivered a GT3 RS with purple RS wheels directly painted from the factory and purple mirror cover and purple seat stitching. .. it was horrifyingly expensive but possible

Echoing MFA, the more typical custom options are in a dealer-only menu called Z options and have option codes CXX. I don't think they can visualize them but the car can be ordered with those options without outside approval. Deviated stitching is one of the more common requests. I did it and think it came out great.

If you really want it and are willing to pay and wait they will do most anything they reasonably can for you upon request. While it's not cheap once you start ordering off the menu why would it be. I think the fact that they'll do it at all is neat. I think one rennlist member got a pepita/houndstooth interior not too long ago.

The custom ordering and porsche exclusive threads are very good sources of additional info on this.

The Exclusive option process is very murky. I had to persistently ask various folks for things I wanted until I was given a yes. It sometimes felt like they would throw out a crazy price to see if I would balk and stop asking.

So next week I have planned to give it a go of dismantling front and rear to take out the plastic bits not yet painted in Highgloss black.

Cross fingers that this works. Making the car yet a little more personalized :-)

hope it works

This is what I mean

Dear Lord that is a beautiful car! Well optioned and fantastic choice on the color scheme, red and black is my favorite haha. Congratulations, and thanks for posting up your introduction!

Not surprising your mod lift includes taking the exhaust up a notch. We have a few options available for your car, and i'd be happy to review them with you to come up with the one the best meets your goals. We'll get it where you want it to be haha

OP,
That car is gorgeous! That would be my build if I decide to get a TTS. The R8+ is my other option, but the AMG GTR has really grown on me. Decisions, decisions.....

Congrats on the car!
