Opinion - two 991s given garage?
Gentlemen...would you keep your TTS or trade to a GT3 given my stable of cars. Just thinking about when my wife's T4S lands and that my TTS serves essentially the same purpose...and my 993TT is for weekends or Friday to the office on a nice day. My daily beater is my Range rover and garage space is at a premium too and well....I am a little embarrassed truth be told to having two GT cars...where if I had a track variant, of the 991 platform, I cover more bases??? Sage advice from the group? I am all over the place.

Given what you already have in the garage and on its way, I would go GT3. But that's just me.
Just curious, why did you get rid of the GT4?
Can't wait to see the Ice Blue Targa!
Good luck with the decision.

You need a drop top. Maybe get a Spyder?

I had sold the GT4 because my wife wasn't crazy about it so ordered the PTS T4S...and while casually shopping for a 'cheap' aircooled, I come across MY holy grail of air cooled cars in a Canadian heritage 993TT (original radio with sport seats and red belts ) ...so ends up in my garage..which sort of added a car that I wasn't expecting to have....hence starts me thinking about purging - changing....wasting more money. I am not a shrewd car guy.

I had a similar garage at one point, my daily is RR SC and I had a gt3, TTS, and gt4. I agree with, first thing I would have is a drop top then a track car, I found the gt4 to just sit so I sold it.
Which one is your track car?

We must have similar taste. I have an ice blue metallic TTS due next month, I just got a 1996 993TT (Grand Prix white with black interior and carbon fiber by exclusive). Truck is cayenne turbo s vs your RR. Kept my gt4 but never drive it. Have RS also never driven (to qualify I'm rarely with my cars). Dropping my TTS cab and ordering a T4S for late 17 delivery (my dealer going to give me a spring 17 build slot).
What color interior did you do on the IBM targa? I like two tone interiors (did graphite chalk this time) and porsche wouldn't do LTS in any two tone (naturally).

It was an amazing find for a Canadian enthusiast because there are not many in Canada that had original Canadian delivery with 'KM' on the speedometer. It is Bone stock - save for PSS10 and clear corners, polar silver on black with hardback sport seats/ painted polar seat backs - crested. Original radio - red belts - squeak free - gorgeous car. Has almost 95,000 KM (59,000 miles) so having turbos and seals done on it now during the winter. Defies its age by condition and I was lucky to find it.

I always have my eye out for 993s. There was a perfect example in Pennsylvania a month ago but someone pipped me to the buy by a few days.

Been in similar situation.
Honestly, I'd just pump the 991tts down the road, 993tt is a sweet weekend car that will only appreciate even with use, unlike the tts....plus you have a decent dd. Jmo

Another option is to keep and convert the 991 TTS into a track car! It can be a lot of fun.
I was also thinking of doing a GT3 to compliment my 991 TTS and would have had to part with my 997.2 TTS for garage space but instead I took my 997.2 TTS to GMG and for not much $$$ they turned it into a very capable track car with waaaaay more power than a GT3.
Good luck.

Thank you all for the sage advice. I was thinking of trading it for GT3 - but then trading a car (+ cash) for my depreciated TTS that I painstakingly chose every option for - and have that cool little personalized VIN 'trophy' for it on my credenza to boot - for a used GT3 that appreciated just didn't seem right....so to Longboader's point, as I write this I would appear the 991TTS for the odd DE/ track day...or to TT surgeon's comment - simply sell it. Garage space (none left) is killing me. It has already taken the big depreciation hit..so financially doesn't matter all that much if its now - or in two years from now....as long as I trade it for something in the future through a dealer to get the sales tax credit - which in Canada is 13% of the value of the trade against the 13% tax on the new car - which on this kind of money is significant. I am close to these stupid cars..so have to process it. Thank you all once again for weighing in.

Just another thought, but what if you found a place to store the TT? The cost would be much less significant than selling the car and eating the depreciation, no?
