Default Gt3 owner, switch to turbo owner

Hey all, traded in my 991 gt3 for a 2016 turbo yesterday. So far very impressed, very different cars no doubt. Looking forward to getting some miles under my belt and getting it on the track

Congrats!! I had a 3, then a TTS ( which I am trading in for a GT3)

They are both awesome cars in different ways.

I really like the white, and that was my first choice for the TTS, but alas, black was the only color available at the moment.

If I was able to bring my car to work, I would have kept the TTS as it is more usable in all weather and has great comfort, but being I can only use it on weekends or when away from the office, I decided the 3 is better for me.

Congrats on the new car and enjoy it

Rich

I will for sure. Not sure if I can add much to what's already been stated but if you have specific questions, I'm happy to give my honest answers. I have no bias, I love both cars and recognize their pros and cons

That makes perfect sense, well stated. The thing I'm most interested in, is how the turbo can handle repeated track days. I did 12-15 days with my GT3 in the year I had it and it was BULLET proof, I'm hoping the turbo can hold up to the rigors as well. I know its not as focused of a track car but I'm hoping I can alteast do 10-20 track days without issues.

I still have a new set of MPC2's from my gt3, that I will put on the turbo after I've destroyed the pirreli's for better track use.

Some point, I'll get another gt3 or gt3 RS but for now, it's all about exploring this amazing turbo.

I do love being able to have my children in the back seats!

You either have small children or you don't like them LOL. I got in the back seat to clean the rear wind screen and I thought I was going to have to call 911 to get me out!

Funny I had a thread about trading my 15 GT3 and getting a white/red TTS all in New Jersey- dealer offered me outright good $ for my car and was going to get nothing- Was blasted by GTers- then started looking at the turbos-
problem I see is that the new 17 car is maybe 5 months away.

Lol, yeah no doubt we/gt3ers are a passionate group and I"m sure I'll have another in the not too distant future, very special car. But as of now and most this evening loving the turbo, which is just as special in its own right. My gt3 was my dd and what fun it was but its just no match compared to the turbo. And the way the turbo pulls needs to be experienced.

I don't believe there is a more amazingly well rounded car as the turbo which offers full on super car performance, with awd and luxury ride and feature. What an anomaly of a car, looking forward to getting more miles under my belt and hitting the track

Another person just posted a thread that he's trying very hard to get rid of a TTS in NJ so that he can get a GT3. Perhaps you two should PM?

Well, I know a few people that have small children AND dont like them.

As Chris Rock once said-

i have 25 track days on my TTS, not one issue.
Get a GIAC stage 2 tune and switch tires to 265/325 MSC2 on stock wheels,
and forget about your GT3 forever!

Apologies if going off topic. You got my attention.

How does the car drive on the street with 265/325 MSC2?

Feel free to PM me.

Count me as another who went from a GT3 to a TT and have had no regrets.

That's some great feedback and which brakes do you have? I had the PCCB's on my GT3, but opted for the irons on the turbo.

Regarding the stage 2 GIAC or COBB, what is needed besides the device, different exhaust/headers ect?

Very nice and did you track the gt3 quite a bit?

So far, I'm finding the turbo, a very exciting vehicle, which shocking rid, comfort and acceleration.

Steering is not as direct as the gt3 and of course the throttle response is different and the sound as well. But there's so many other unique attributes I'm loving so far.
