I just re-read your title and description. The title suggests you are looking for a 7TTS v. 1TTS comparison. The description suggests you are looking for a 991 C2S v. 1TTS comparison. If you are looking for a 7TTS v. 1TTS comparison, here my thoughts... I was in the market for a Turbo S and test drove a few 997.2 TTS's and 991 TTS's before deciding. The 997 TTS was a good bit cheaper, obviously, but in the end, I could not pass on the 991 TTS. It is noticeably better in several areas in my opinion. First, there is no or very nearly no turbo lag in the 1TTS. In addition, the 991 PDK shifts are smoother and the car feels faster and more powerful than the 7TTS. The 1TTS also handles a bit better and has less roll. Finally, I just like the styling of the 991 TTS far more and the 997 TTS just looks dated to me. These are all just my subjective/amateur opinions, not intended to offend anyone with a 997 TTS, just the reasons I ended up favoring the 1TTS. With this said, if you find a 997 TTS at a great price, I could understand the temptation as it is a beast and there are some great deals to be had. But in the end, I couldn't pass on the 991 TTS, so I bought a 2015 this week.

Owned 2012 tts, now in 2014 tts. I wanted to keep 12 longer, but 991 for me was more comfortable with larger interior, better seats, design, front clearance, burmeister stereo, led, faster PDK, similar engines. The handling is unbelievable with minimal body roll, rear steering. Faster than gt3 around ring with cup tires. Superb improvement.
