Set to have its official debut at Frankfurt next September, images of the facelifted Porsche 991 Turbo have leaked online. We’ve seen several sets of spy shots come in over the past few months of the updated 991 Turbo testing both on and off the track, and now we can bring you these leaked patent images.

The comment about a hp bump to 600 is a significant change. As to the body bits, I suppose that they had to do something to distinguish it from the current version. Maybe they add a bit more down-force at higher speeds. They may have also coded the PDK a bit differently for Sport Plus as well, but that is pure guesswork on my part. The hp increase will put the TTS in contention with the Ferrari and McLaren for speeds over 120 or so. Of course, the base price will also go up in the ten percent range over the current TTS, which is still a value compared to the pricier competition. The Porsche engineers do not fool around.

Given the TTS's track capabilities sport seats are a reasonable option, even if there is a GT2 version planned. This will be especially true if it comes with 600 hp. The other option it should have is Michelin PS Cup 2's. Kind of strange that the '14 GT3 did not have sport seats as an option. Maybe it had something to do with US crash testing requirements.
