My Take on Sharkwerks vs. GMG Bypass
#46
Pretty much, but do not get offended, you are doing your best to drive traffic as mentioned earlier hence the sheep connotation.
It has nothing to do with brand vs brand, but the relentless bs videos and posts on multiple forums. Why make a video on why you chose certain options on your car, or the type of tint you used. Make a blog instead, your followers will be more than happy to read there.

I belong to three forums. Rennlist, 6Speed, and M3 Post. My guess is posting on 6speed is redundant, but I know there are quite a few that don't make it over here from there.
I try to keep everything in my Journal rather than posting a bunch of threads, but sometimes I think a thread would be better served on the forum. What do I know? I'm simply trying to do my part to contribute. Call me a narcissist, but I just make videos that I want to see. I think what I'm doing largely doesn't exist. When I was optioning my car I was begging to find as much info as possible. So I'm sharing my experience. I created my website to organize this stuff. I don't have an agenda other than to make friends with others like me and may pay it forward to the next generation of car guys.

Matt, as has been mentioned, keep up the good efforts, the vast majority greatly appreciate them here!

The only complaint I have about Matt is that his damn videos caused me to spend $300 on a hose reel. But it's one hell of a hose reel! My wife LOVES it! (I've never told her what I spent on it)

Matt, I think more of us appreciate your posts than those that don't. Even the guys like me that don't post very much really appreciate the time you took to provide a real service to the GT3 community. Keep it up!

+1. I'm still in the learning phase and read a lot but post little. I've found your videos and your posts very informative Matt. Don't let a few discourage you from helping many.

FWIW guys, no Center Section / ByPass system gains HP, it's a wash for the most part, which makes this decision more about sound, fit and finish and design....and of course customer service, which is why I try to be on RL as much as possible and always put my direct contact info on my Sig.
Lastly, stay tuned.....GMG is getting back into Porsche Racing again (in addition to the Club Racing we support), which is where we first designed this Center Section back in 2007 for our Pirelli World Challenge Cup Cars.......so stay tuned for more 991 GT3/RS Product development in the near future.
Cheers,
P.S. When Matt called GMG to buy a center section, he never asked for a discount as he made his own investment into this comparison, that speaks volumes in my book.....

Thanks for the clarification. If the center bypass doesn't add any power, then does the muffler delete? I know it saves on weight but I'm more interested in power and torque gains (if that's even possible).
By the way, say "hello" to Mrs. Sonofras. I ran into her at a Chevron gas station in Torrance a little while back where she paid a nice compliment to my 997TT. When she mentioned who her husband was (you), it reminded me to look into an exhaust system/solution for my GT3. GMG had been on the short list of consideration but I've been so busy. Hell I only have 750 miles on the GT3 since I picked it up last Nov.
