It's about to get better..... Will be at the Nurburgring this week for another two day Porsche Masterclass with the RS..... What better way to pass the time while waiting for my RS to arrive than drive the factory cars on iconic tracks around the world.... Life could be worse...
More pics to follow.

I guess you guys must be employing limos to haul the gals around to the
various handbag shops , you two are making it tuff on the mere mortals here!

When I attended the GT3 event in Atlanta, I asked about the discrepancy between the 2000 mi break-in on US models and the 'no break-in' on European models. The tech on-hand shared a couple of things. First, the difference is largely driven by fuel additives. Apparently, additives put in US fuels require a break-in but European fuels do not get these same additives.
Secondly, the legal environment in the US creates an added dose of caution...

breakin to no track before 2k, which meant I log the 2k in ten days , I did
run ups to 7k after first 1k miles . engine solid coming up on 9k logged

the no-break in rule is true.
There is no break in in the UK as well. But there is a suggested no racing use for 1st 1000 miles. In many cases, the porsche experience cars are ragged to their redlines from the 1st km.. But, as long as they are properly warmed up, do what you want. Incidentally, warranty for UK cars are now 3 years instead of 2 years and the no break-in procedure remains the same.
I think the U.S break-in process is to ensure that those with less talent (than they think they have) don't kill themselves in the 1st 2,000 miles heavy footing it like a racer.
of the P cars I have bought, every dealer tells me to just drive like I would any other car.

Bought her a Hans and Helmet and she's never tracked a car, not been in the car with me for more than half a lap and she stayed at the track (Sebring) for 10 minutes and left..
She's German, good driver and tells me I cant drive all the time.
We'll see how that's gonna go..
