Wind Buffeting Solution
Folks-
I couldn't get myself to pay stupid money for what I thought should have been significantly less expensive than options out in the marketplace?
Since "necessity breeds invention" I've worked w/ a local fabrication shop (through different iterations) and finally developed these
Pricing probably won't move all that much, but it's looking somewhere around $50-$60 per set? (Shipping will most likely be good ole, USPS priority).
Rennlist folks, I assure you this is actual cost and no profit. I did this purely as an enthusiast and ticked that companies out there were charing north of $200+ for pieces of plastic or metal (some sugar coating w/ pretty carbon fiber?). I've held out all this time, waiting until I had the time to get them built.
These pieces are made from sheet metal, super light and powder coated in a matte black finish. (We can paint different colors, but I wanted to keep it simple).
You're going to need to buy some 3mm tape, use rubbing alcohol to make sure surfaces are clean and stick them on yourself.
I'd like an idea of how many I need to run, so please let me know.

Dang... I just got my AWE ones shipped last Friday (finally... took 2 months to ship). I would have picked yours instead.
Fixing this issue is essential for those who have not fixed it yet. It is seriously annoying, even dangerous at any speed over 100 mph.

That is a much more reasonably priced solution.
I used the Pep boys $3 door guard solution for the first time at Sebring this weekend. It doesn't look good but it does work. Eliminated all of the wind buffeting issues. FYI

est8esq,
you are the best to do this , taking an annoying problem fixing it and then sharing the solution with
the RL brethren ! cool. post some pics installed on the panda if you have .
Canadian Jack gave me a set of Blackmill ,I installed easily resolved the problem.
I as well purchased a set of the awe carbon ones never installed , (didn't want to dissemble anything and not cool with pieces not matching anything on the car )
Cheers
D.
it maybe the mobile app is not scaling posts properly if you are using that ?
