Service departments are a dealership's bread and butter as it comes to generating revenue. As for Ford and other American brands don't make too much money over what they payed for the car except for holdback. Imagine only making about $750 on a New Chevy that cost them $18,000.
One thing about Ford though...they back their track cars. I broke my flywheel one of my track sessions (my fault) trans became overheated on the last session of a 2 day event at Road Atlanta. Instead of going into the pits to cool off I tried to force a shift after experiencing lockout. Showed up to Ford the following Monday told them what I did. They ordered and installed a new clutch and flywheel under warranty all replaced no questions asked.

It is so great how track driving has gotten to be so important to marketing that all the manufacturers are making cars today that are so much more track competent than even 5 years ago.
There are still some cooling system issues in some cars, but look at all the track specials out there.

I love German engineering too. (This is me running circles around Porsches with a live axle Ford on a now 10 year old chassis).

You didn't even know what year car you bought after you paid the deposit. Thats the funniest thing by far about the thread.
Can you imagine a fellow GT3 owner here buying one and not even knowing the year he bought after he paid for it and custom ordered it?
I will be happy to write you an Rx for Aricept

Late third quarter of this year. But, I'd speculate the 350 will have a lot more interest than the Z28 had. It's considerably more advanced than the regular Mustang and uses a very special engine, in a way that the Z28 wasn't, compared to it's SS starting point.

Hilarious and weak guy. And you have known your Fords for years now?

I like the Mustang, Corvette etc. but by the time you make it track worthy you're back to (Used) GT3 money but with a lot of depreciation and without the tactical high quality feel.
The values are changing though, the Fords are getting stronger on track it appears, better materials, good looking, sounds nice and they may even hold their value better.
The tables could be turning.....
