In other words you answered OUR and your own questions. You did NOT get a 2015 then, just admit it geez. "General public" ?????
If they are at the dealers and up for auction they are by default available to the general public. Not hard to understand. You are confused, you didn't even know what you ordered or what you gave a deposit for?
Info was well known, on sites such as Jalopnik and Boldride several months ago.

You are totally incorrect but I won't argue past that. They decided at the last minute to make very limited 2015 run to commemorate the 50th Anniversary.
They will no doubt be a collectors item as it will likely be the lowest production number EVER for a Mustang sub model for a yearly production.
Don't take my word for it? Go try to buy one. Those 37R's will be worth tons of money someday. First year of GT350 as well as flat crank? Bet your *** its valuable, especially since its a stick only and fiber wheels and front ceramics?

Yes you do. You read and posted in this thread.
There are lots of great American cars; I loved my C6Z06 that I can assure you is only a tick slower than my GT3, although not as robust for cooling and brake fade on track, love my Caddy V Wagon (only 6-speed Performance Wagon I know of on the market in 2014), think the new Viper ACR will be amazing on track and would probably personally choose it over unobtanium RS (again, 6-speed on the Viper for those who want that experience), and for a street GT car, the C7Z06 is just amazing.
This new Ford sounds great to me, but I won't chase a "collectible." I had a great Fox Body Mustang in the 90s that never let me down and accepted a supercharger just fine. I could consider a more plebian version of the Mustang with this engine and without too much collectability attached. I do worry that cooling and brakes won't be up to snuff to really use the car on track, though.
Go ahead and prefer German, they are great cars; I certainly love my GT3.
But silly, flippant remark that reminds me of the old Porsche and Porcupine joke.

I like the Mustang, Corvette etc. but by the time you make it track worthy you're back to (Used) GT3 money but with a lot of depreciation and without the tactical high quality feel.
The values are changing though, the Fords are getting stronger on track it appears, better materials, good looking, sounds nice and they may even hold their value better.
The tables could be turning.....

I mentioned to my Ford dealer a few months ago that I might like to get one (2015) and to put me on the list. My salesman called in late June to say that the dealership just got allocated 3, the owners were taking 2 of them, and I could come in that morning to order and build the 3rd one. All well and good until I asked how much. $50k over MSRP! After having purchased 20+ cars (kids, business, etc.) from them over the years, I told him how pissed I was. No such thing as loyalty with domestic car dealers. Actually not much with any dealers period. They could care less......

Now are we certain that next year will be a reasonalbe Mass Market build up 4K to 5K cars? That is still a relatively small number as Fords and Mustang's go. But someoe would have to pay me to buy a new Ford, classics on the other hand...

Glad you cut ties with that dealership, sounds like their greed lost them a very valuable customer. My local dealer wanted 20k over - i'm not a huge customer but I purchased a GT500 off their showroom and have been using their service department for nearly 10 years. Not anymore.
