a few months ago I ordered an R8 V10+ with a 6 speed thinking I'll probably get one of the last European made cars where V10 is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and this morning I got this in my email:
I have confirmed the good news: anonymous918's R8 was the last one built from the first generation for the entire world. Many people wanted this to happen for them, but we got it done for anonymous918. The attached picture is, in my opinion, the coolest pic I’ve seen during my time with Audi. It is anonymous918's R8 at the last station of the production line with no other R8s behind it, illustrating that this was truly the end.
I am working to coordinate the certificate of authenticity, and will keep you posted. According to the factory, the VIN is XXX, which is appropriately the last R8 1st generation VIN.

That is pretty cool and the certificate will deserve a nice frame. Gorgeous color btw.
I also have a hunch your garage stable is so big this was bound to happen at some time!!
Now....I don't always drive Matte Blue Audi R8's that have a V10 mated to a 6spd tranny, but if I did...it would be the last one ever built & belong to Anonymous918.....the Most Interesting Man in the World!!!
Congrats Anonymous. I think it's safe to say we'd all love to see some pictures of your collection when you get this and the few other unique cars that you have on order. Thanks for sharing.
