2016 GT3 Update (On my car)
Just got this email from my dealer regarding my car and the LWB issues. Was really hoping to have the car during some nice weather but it looks like it won't be until November. Need to look at the bright side...at least I get a car!
From the manager:
I actually checked on your car yesterday! Not much new other than the configuration locked on the 21st. The LWB Seats are on back order for at least 10 weeks as you know but the system hasn't updated any delivery dates. The one new development is yesterday Porsche sent a bulletin saying that they will no longer be accepting orders for the full buckets at all. Glad we got the order in when we did.
By the way, our store has STILL not received any other GT3 allocations! You're the only 2016 GT3 in Nevada as I write this. Crazy.

Consider your self lucky indeed!! I just spoke A dealer who informed me that the buckets will push any car into a CY16 delivery. He even had a Boxster Spyder spec'd with them and the factory went in and removed them from the build.

And you're getting LWBs, even if later than expected. I'm assuming the "no longer be accepting orders" is in reference to GT3s? (And possibly other non-RS cars?) Did you get more info about the reason, etc, that might confirm some of what we've been reading on RL?

I was then told it was only for June and July builds, therefore, I was moved to September build with buckets. We'll see.

So your build locked last week but you won't get your car till November? Seems odd? LWB or no.
I lock on June 11 and am scheduled for July 3 production start, with LWB.

My car is scheduled to be built June 12 and deliver August 21 but I'm being told that the LWB's are going to delay the delivery of the car 10 weeks (see my first post above). Dealer said that my dates haven't changed in the system yet but suspects it will. I guess I will find out soon enough!

Join the Lear LWB club. My car was ordered in 9/14, delivered in 3/15 with LWBs; one of the last '15s secondary to the LWB delay.
