They work well in the dry, but will be much more scary in the rain.

TAG/Alex,

You guys have the 20" Trofeo R's for the 991 GT3 in stock?
I thought they were on backorder as we got the last 3 sets last week?

We had about 5-6 sets in stock, and they just sold out. We will be getting more in a few weeks

When new I drove them in pouring monsoon rain on the way to Barber in Alabama. They were excellent.

I think they are a HUGE step up than the SC2 on the track and a very marginal step down for daily use. Would take over SC2 any day.

Really. That's nice to hear. My friend said they were super scary in the rain, but I haven't tried it (thankfully).

I must be setting up the tires pressures all wrong. My accelerometer shows lateral Gs sustained before breakaway are the same as mpsc2.

Good to know about the wet.

Don't the Trofeo Rs wear twice as fast as MPSC2s with track use?

KY, the roads you were on must had something to do with that. When it rains in Dallas, I can barely go more than 50 mph on the highway and it's white knuckle because the car tries to hydroplane like nuts WHEN THE TIRES ARE COLD. I drove them on COTA in pouring rain and they were slippery but not scary like hell, so my own conclusion is road driving in the rain, in Dallas, is scary as hell with the Trofeo-R. I think I said hell one time too many, sorry.

They wear faster BUT the PSC2 heat cycle faster so it's probably a wash.

AHA! I haven't gone through my first set yet, but I had a feeling this might be the case. Now if I can only setup the car properly so I can get this extra grip that everyone else is getting...

Try 28/29 hot for the Trofeo-R. Hard on the rear outer shoulders but will stick like glue

Which sets of rears are you all running? Pirelli lists a 103Y and a 99Y for our 305s. I'm assuming the differences are sidewall stiffness?
