I've spoken to 4 people this week that aren't on RL that are all switching to UV from various colors...
I remember when UV was first shown on RL. It got killed. I think Vivian and I were the only two who liked it. Now it's the hottest RS palette color. I don't think I've ever seen a color trend do a 180 this quickly.

It was a 'stunning' & 'strikingly beautiful' color from day one...and some dared to say so early in the game! I remember this one (image captured below) from the Consolidated 991 RS thread & dated 3/04/2015 when folks where still wondering if the color was solid or metallic:
