Read the manual. Go over the thread on breaking in the car. Makes for interesting reading.

Advice--go enjoy the heck out of it...once you hit that 9k RPM you will never look back.

Congrats in advance.

I have heard no >4200 rpm for 1k miles. Is it true or too conservative?

There are many here that after one full tank of gas are hitting the 9k...it's all what you are comfortable with. It does have a warranty

First of all, congrats Eric, and welcome to our little crazy corner of the motoring world.

As to advice? I would suggest that you do whatever it is you absolutely have to do (i.e., root canal, hernia surgery, etc.) this week, and make sure to make amends with your wife (if you're married) or significant other (if you're not), cuz next week? And the week following that? You're basically going to be AWOL.

Congrats again and remember post some pics, or it didn't happen.
