Will 2016 GT3 Impact '14 and '15 Values?
So assuming (and it looks VERY likely) the 2016 GT3 small run is a go, curious what you guys think it will do to GT3 values for '14 and '15 models?
Also, since there is only so much demand out there, if Porsche is willing to fill that, it most certainly has to impact the '14-'16 values as demand will have peaked?
Either way I'm getting a '16 to fill the void I now have and then get Gen 2 GT3 in 2017.

There are already so many out there now, it's tough to see a major change, but minor yes. I suspect most the high volume dealers are probably going to want above MSRP again.
I can't figure out if I should trade mine in now or keep it for a bit longer.

My plan is to get this '16 (kinda glad I traded my '15 now) and then get the Gen 2 (assuming it comes out).
Thinking about European delivery of this one (assuming not Aug when they are closed).
Ahhhh the vicious cycle of marketing know as Porsche

I can't see how it couldn't impact values. More cars means more on the market at any given time. The car definitely has a larger market appeal now though.
What concerns me more is that Porsche is becoming less predictable. The Turbo S has become a full time car as well as the GTS. I believe they used to be built only for a year or two before the next model refresh. I also used to be confident that they would never put a 911s engine in a Cayman. I'm not saying it's necessarily bad but who knows what is next?

More supply has to mean a softening of prices unless there is more demand than was anticipated. Weeks ago 991 GT3s were being offered with premiums over MSRP. This batch of cars will mostly likely erase the premiums and may bring balance to the market.

I'm thinking of switching it up all together to a Targa GTS of all things - something more family friendly until the RS arrives. I'll take about an $8k hit on the GT3 based on their current trade figure.

300 GT3 MY 16 it s a small number
My 16 is the same engine and setup as MY 15
no hit at all
basically there are no enough GT3 to fill the
market demand

I agree. Still more buyers than cars even with the 16's. They will all be above MSRP anyway. The car is gaining in popularity. I predict no change until Gen 2.

I don't think the 300 2016 GT3 cars will make a huge impact on 14 and 15 GT3's. The GT3 is very popular right now and 300 cars sounds like a lot but it really is not. You won't see many 991 GT3's lying around anywhere in the states very long…The car is that good

Agree guys. Have my '16 built exactly the way I want this time...left off all of the CF interior margin makers.
Numero uno on dealer list and have V070 status (awaiting allocation)...demand gen into PCNA from dealer.

I doubt it will have an noticeable impact on the prices of 2014 & 2015 GT3s. However, I think this is great news because it's a tell confirming that PAG will produce more RSs and GT4s than people think. Build baby build.
