Default Is it normal to have smoke on startup

I've only had the 991 GT3 for a few weeks (100 miles on car) but it normally will "puff" on startup. Only lasts for a few seconds & it's in the garage on level flooring. Just wondered if others experience this.
Scared the crap out of the wife last weekend as started it & immediately pulled out the garage & closed the door. When we came home an hour later & opened the garage, smoked got sucked out & we thought there might be a fire occurring.

Totally normal, mine did this the first tank or so of fuel than it stopped happening.

Not sure of the mechanics, but there are other posts discussing this!

Normal and all my Porsches smoked. Matter of fact; so did my R8. I have 2000 miles now and only occasionally will it smoke on start up and only if it has been sitting a few days.

It's happened less as mileage increased. I have 2100 and it's like 1 in 8 starts.

It'd be abnormal if a GT3 didn't smoke.

Thanks guys. Scared the pee pee out of when the door went up. We didn't see anything & my wife had me fly up into the garage attic thinking there might have been an electrical short.

Just a WAG here, but I would assume that the dry sump leaves some risidual oil in passageways when the engine is shut down. Upon start up this excess goes to the cylinders which in turn is burned off showing the smoke.

This only last a few seconds then all is normal again.
