I've only had the 991 GT3 for a few weeks (100 miles on car) but it normally will "puff" on startup. Only lasts for a few seconds & it's in the garage on level flooring. Just wondered if others experience this.
Scared the crap out of the wife last weekend as started it & immediately pulled out the garage & closed the door. When we came home an hour later & opened the garage, smoked got sucked out & we thought there might be a fire occurring.

No smoke here whatsoever, unlike my previous 997 GT3.
Could be related to getting LWBs?

Money - My car does the same if it has been sitting for a couple days of so. I do not notice unless the wind is blowing south which puts it back in the garage. If wind blowing the other way would not notice

GT3 engine has a air injection pump for emissions on start up. Only operates for a few minutes/seconds. That heats up the converter. Not sure of the accuracy of the above information but I know it does have an injection pump for start emissions.

My wife & I went to Porsche Parade in St. Charles Illinois back in 2010. They had a silent auction for St. Jude's Hospital. We bid on the banner. It's 35 feet long & we were fortunate to have Hans Peter Porsche sign it for us on the edge. Best $400 I ever spent.
